The company was founded at the end of the 19th century in Bergamo, Italy, by Guido Zanetti, known for his expertise in cheese "ripening" technology. By 1940 he had established himself as the leading maturer for the region's Grana cheeses, distinguished by their firm and grainy structure. In 1946, the company started industrial production for the first time and 2 years later began exporting its products. After more than a century of history, today Zanetti is the world market leader in Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano.
Semi-soft cheese with pieces of white and black truffle harvested in the region of Volterra and San Miniato. It is aged for 30 days and is very suitable for cold meat platters as well as a nice red wine.
